Ma Ma’s mac and cheese casserole. Among her last words on this earth: “Vivian, remember this is how to make the macaroni and cheese pie [as she called it]: Then she rattled off every single portion of making that yummy pasta goodness. My dad used to say I was the only one who could make it like her. That made me quietly smile. And even now, it’s a little way of say I Love You when I make it.  Southern women love to feed the folks they love. When I can’t think of anything else to do, I head for the kitchen to make food for whomever is hurting, feels silk, or is sad!
